RuKey is a tool for entering text in Russian. Press ESC key (Escape) to turn transliteration mode on and off. In transliteration mode a Latin character is mapped to its phonetically similar Cyrillic character in most cases. For example, “p” is mapped to “п”. Consult the “яЖерт” keyboard layout for less intuitive mappings.
The built-in Russian spell checker checks you text as you are typing, and marks mistakes in bold. Right-click on a bold word to show correction suggestions, left-click on a suggestion to replace the mistake.
Copy and paste the text into a file or software of your choice.
Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Z (revert), Ctrl+Y (repeat).
RuKey is downloadable as .JAR file (Java executable), you need Java Runtime Environment version 8 or higher to run it:
